Midget toes

As most of you know things have been bad between me and my best friend. We spent over a week fighting and were both afraid that our friendship wouldn’t make it. Well, a few days ago we kinda put things behind us and were trying to move on and on Saturday I went to the movies with her and 2 mutual friends. After the movie we went to dinner with one of our friends and when she left the restaurant my best friend and I stood in the parking lot for almost 2 hours talking. At first it was about light hearted things like the guy she likes, but then we started talking about the fight we had. At first I was afraid because I didn’t want to relive it but now I am so glad. After repeating a lot of things we had already said to each other and taking the time to hear the other persons side we are finally ok. I got in my car last night cold and tired and breathed a sigh of relief because I knew I wasn’t going to loose her. She is my friend, my sister and my clone (as our friends call us) and I don’t know what I would do without her.

Anyway I say all that to preface my story about the midget toes. I spent the day with my best friend today and it was the best time we have had in a while. It was safe and comforting and normal. The highlight of the night however was when we discovered that my friends left foot is NOT normal and spent 30 min laughing about it. I can’t remember the last time I laughed that hard for that long! I am tired, my throat is scratchy and my neck and back are killing me, but I’m happy! I had a great time and it was just what we both needed after all we have been going through spiritually and relationally.
